January 4, 2009Video footage of AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE — the side project of AS I LAY DYING singer Tim Lambesis — performing the holiday classic "Jingle Bells" on December 29, 2008 at the Marquee in Tempe, Arizona can be viewed below (clip filmed by Derrell Stansfield and Kelly O'Brien; mixed by Yahoo! AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE released a Christmas single featuring "Jingle Bells" along with "Get To The Choppa" and a cover of JUDAS PRIEST's "Hell Bent For Leather" on November 25.
"Total Brutal", the debut album from AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE, sold 3,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 179 on The Billboard 200 chart.
According to Lambesis, AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE is "a tribute to the great Arnold [former actor and current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger] movies. It is a band fronted by Ahhnold with music I wrote and recorded in my free time. But, most importantly, I had so much fun!"
